Intuition

Cultivating inner knowing

A question currently animating me about the inner life/spirit is:

Who could I become if I allowed myself to embrace imperfection?

A question currently animating me about the outer world/universe/multiverse is:

To what extent is sacrificing our presence for our future helpful to our communities?

The practices I’m finding most helpful at the moment are:

Other

A moment I noticed my inner light kindled this month was:

In August I was able to reconnect with my local theatre community through volunteering. The flow of people's exited energy, laughter from the hearth and childlike playful atmosphere is a combination that heals a piece of my soul every time I volunteer there.

A moment I noticed my inner light dwindled this month was:

This month was rather rough as I felt stuck in a constant cycle that had worn off. My inner light dwindled when I opened my computer for the first time since graduating and re-experienced my academic anxiety, pedantic bureaucracy and normalisation of artificial work environments

Courage

Aligning action

Assumptions I'm examining right now are:

Impact

I originally assumed:

I used to think that impact is the most significant when it affects many people. That if the masses aren't reached, then proportionately, the success rate of making a positive impact is barely anything.

These assumptions are changing:

Now I sense that real impact cannot be judged by merely numbers, but also the depth, duration and intensity of the chain reaction it promotes.

A moment I stepped out of my comfort zone this month was:

I spontaneously decided to offer a cheesecake to 3 unhoused people at night who were very grateful for it. It is uncommon for Estonians to even say "hi" back to strangers as a part of post-soviet package, so approaching strangers on the street is extremely out of my comfort zone.

Compassion

Engaged Empathy

A peer in The Flight School community I am grateful to is:

Naomi Løvstad Wettstein

My message of thanks to them is:

Naomi, thanks for trusting me to share a piece of yourself! I am so grateful for your presence in our conversations and the curiosity you are bringing to the Friday sessions. Also, thank you for creating this beautiful film, ohh how inspired I felt after watching it!

Something that is helping me build trusting relationships here is:

The friendship roulette has been so rewarding! I have been loving getting to know people 1:1
